Our friends from the Netherlands can reach Bremen easily by car – drive time 3-4 hours. For gliding enthusiasts from Denmark, Bremen is about 90 minutes drive from Hamburg.
For visitors from Great Britain and Norway we refer to direct flights to Bremen airport with Ryanair from London-Stansted, Edinburgh, Haugesund and Oslo-Rygge. However, check www.ryanair.com for the actual schedule.
The German Glider Pilots Convention takes place in hall 4 of the Bremen fairground (Bremen Messe)
Bremen airport is only 9 kilometres from the Messe. A 15 minute tram journey (line 6 heading towards University) takes you to the main train station. The Messe is only a 5 minute walk from the station.
Please note that the traditional Bremen funfair “Freimarkt” will be taking place in the area just in front of the hall in which our Glider Convention will be held. This is one of the oldest and most visited funfairs in Germany and comparable to Octoberfest in Munich. See www.freimarkt.de
Finding hall 4 of the Bremen Messe behind the funfair may become a slight challenge but we’re sure you’ll manage!
For all other information please see buttons on this webpage.
We’re looking forward to welcome gliding enthusiasts from outside Germany and do wish you a nice journey to Bremen and a pleasant day.
