A cartoon sailplane explains the workings of a local soaring club and it's members. Tommy the 2-33 takes viewers on a short ride which is known as a "Sled Ride" to soaring pilots. After Tommy fly's into a thermal and gains some altitude he fly's out of the thermal and lands. Along the way he meets up with a few of his fellow club members such as Wally the Winch, Billy the Blanik and Charlie the Chickenhawk. Tommy introduces the flying club he belongs to which is the "Prescott Soaring Society" in Prescott Arizona. You can visit http://prescottsoaring.com/ to see the clubs website which is presently still under construction.

De maker van deze cartoon stuurde mij nog een mail:
Hi guy's.........my name is Ed and I'm a sailplane and power plane pilot in Prescott, Arizona, United States. I am also a graphic artist and 3D animator. Recently I made a 3D animation about soaring and the soaring club I belong to called the "Prescott Soaring Society". The video is called "Sled Ride" and it stars "Tommy the 2-33". I posted it on YouTube three weeks ago and I thought that you folks might enjoy watching it, linking to it or embedding it onto your site. Our winch-operated club has been around since the mid-1970's and we are presently making a new website. Anyway.…......you can use the link below or simply type "Sled Ride" into YouTube's search engine. Hopefully you’ll enjoy the animation and perhaps you’ll place an embedded YouTube link to it on your website.
Thank you for your time.
Ed.
