A cartoon sailplane explains the workings of a local soaring club and it's members. Tommy the 2-33 takes viewers on a short ride which is known as a "Sled Ride" to soaring pilots. After Tommy fly's into a thermal and gains some altitude he fly's out of the thermal and lands. Along the way he meets up with a few of his fellow club members such as Wally the Winch, Billy the Blanik and Charlie the Chickenhawk. Tommy introduces the flying club he belongs to which is the "Prescott Soaring Society" in Prescott Arizona.
